[Super Sol Construction Case] Example of Arch Culvert Protection

This is a case study of the road improvement work for the Nanyuan Fuchinen Line.

We would like to introduce a construction case of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," which is made by crushing and sintering waste glass to create a foamed glass product. This case involves the protection of arch culverts. Super Sol was used as lightweight fill to reduce the load on the arch culverts and decrease the earth pressure on the reverse T-shaped retaining walls. The use of Super Sol allowed for greater flexibility in construction on complex terrain and contributed to a shortened construction period. 【Construction Case】 - Project Details: Improvement work on the Nanbara Fuchinen Line Road - Application Category: Civil Engineering / Protection Structures Backfill / New Retaining Structures - Client: Okinawa Prefecture - Construction Location: Chinen Village, Okinawa Prefecture - Required Performance: Lightweight, load reduction, earth pressure reduction For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

[Super Soil Construction Case] A2 Case of Backfill Material for Retaining Walls on Soft Ground

This is a case of road repair work for the Heisei 21 fiscal year repair bond No. 6 in Hita City, Oita Prefecture.

We would like to introduce a case study of the construction of "Super Sol," an artificial lightweight material made from crushed and sintered waste glass, used as a raising material in kitchens. In road widening construction, lightweight fill materials are typically not used behind precast L-shaped retaining walls. However, due to occurrences of overturning on soft ground, Super Sol lightweight fill material was adopted as a countermeasure. After construction, there were no instances of overturning or sinking. 【Construction Case Study】 - Project Details: FY 2009 Improvement Bond No. 6 Road Repair Work - Usage Category: Civil Engineering / Backfill for Structures / Retaining Walls - Client: Oita Prefecture - Construction Location: Hita City, Oita Prefecture - Required Performance: Lightweight and reduced earth pressure For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

[Super Soil Construction Case] A2 Tail Arm Fill Material Case [Tochigi]

This is a case of road construction for management purposes in the Hirasawa area of Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture.

We would like to introduce a construction example of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," which is made by crushing and sintering waste glass to create a foamed glass material. This example pertains to the use of Super Sol as backfill material for the tailing wall method. It was adopted as backfill material for the road construction for dam management. Due to the presence of an existing retaining wall at the lower part of the construction site, Super Sol was used to reduce soil pressure. Additionally, because of the steep slope, a lightweight fill with good drainage properties was required. 【Construction Example】 - Construction Details: Road construction for management in the Hirasawa area - Use Classification: Civil Engineering / Lightweight Fill & Structural Backfill / Roadbed & Reinforced Soil Wall - Client: Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Kanto Regional Development Bureau - Construction Location: Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture - Required Performance: Lightweight, soil pressure reduction, drainage For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
